SATURDAY IS PHOBLOG DAY!

Today, I will take a long walk and ponder how lucky I am to be out of a fire zone… and I will send out huge prayers for everyone in Los Angeles.  Those people must be in total shock.  It is incomprehensible.  Truly.   I lived and worked there for years.  I love LA.  It was very good for me and I have many, many great memories – especially of the landscapes.  I cannot comprehend the devastation.   I cannot comprehend the iconic vistas – everywhere – that have burned – gone forever.  The shoreline will never be the same.  The character of the beach lifestyle in Malibu is gone.  The gorgeous Parks, the animals, the trees… Just horrendous.  And, the shake your head mismanagement (I know, I still live in CA…) plus the insurance issues…  This will take a very long time to rebuild.  Things are going to change.  They have to.

HERE WE GO!

I love this. I keep posting houses like this because I guess I like what I like. This is what I like.

He looks so happy!

Another style of container house.

Good idea.

People are so creative!

This is how our part of Northern CA looks… and we worry about fires every year, too.

It took me a while to figure this one out…

Don’t look down!

Interesting.

OK, so here he is…

I wish we had more of this type of riding in the US – I mean ponies and adults, riding together.

Awesome grandkids sleepover!

The Talent!

KEEP THEM OFF THE TRUCK FUND.

That’s a good tip; using a pool noodle for a hose. It wouldn’t work for me – I have no water in the barn and the spigot at the house is 200’ away. I live at 8K feet in Colorado, so there are plenty of opportunities for my hoses to freeze. Still, it’s good to know about.
