Why can’t we?… Frustration, Hope, Wonder, Passion.

Yesterday, ALL SEATED IN A BARN posted a devastating video.   They had bravely attended a kill auction in Texas where 500 horses and burros were fated.

Luckily, through donations, ASIAB was able to rescue 53 of them.

However…

ASIAB stayed a day longer to watch all the donkeys and horses purchased by the meat buyers –  ship to slaughter.  They filmed it.  To show that this is a reality.

I wouldn’t have been so brave.  I don’t believe I could have filmed that… but ASIAB wanted to show the TRUTH of what happens to donkeys and horses, every day, here in America.  They wanted to give the people with passion a vehicle to prove the tragedy of the equine meat market right in our backyard.  Looking into their soulful equine eyes, it is nearly impossible to justify how/why humans can send these sentient beings to slaughter.

Can we make good come of this horrible event?

If you would like to watch the video or download it to use to speak to your Congressman or create a posse of humanitarians in your town, please do so.  Let your passion roar!  If you can think of a way to fund, house, manage, maintain these desperate equines who are sold weekly to slaughter… PLEASE, now is the time.  Read about the SAFE ACT.  Or devise your own way through your particular genius.

Go to All Seated in a Barn IG account and click THE TRUTH

Here is what ASIAB has to say about their video:

I added a highlight real on our Instagram page, called ‘the truth’- that way you can share that along with the post from last night- just hit the flying airplane share button. ??’? ??? ???????. These donkeys are illegally rounded up off of cattle lands and sold for money and then are exported for their meat and hides. In our corrupt society, the cattle need to eat so the donkeys have to die. In their eyes. I wish there were options for them, but until this massively corrupt industry changes – until people become educated and push for change- there won’t be any.

Personally, I would love all of us to pool our money and equine housing to rescue an entire truckload – Every week.

Like you, I am so frustrated and I wish, hope, wonder if/when we can right this wrong.

We have ASIAB on the ground… we have sanctuaries like Skydog helping as much as they can… we have The Drop in the Bucket Fund to pool our monies to save these poor animals.

Can we make a difference?  I have always believed that we could… and we have… but can we step it up in honor of these poor souls that are right now on their horrible last ride?

Please.   Use your particular genius and lets all make a difference.  Choose how you want to help, but please, please put your energy out there and push this evil into oblivion.

Thank you… not for me, for them.  All of them.

ASIAB took this photo of the donkey truck, leaving…

NEW BUTTON.  DIFFERENT FUND.  LET’S DO THIS!

I’m no genius.  Just an average girl who has a passion to save horses in need.  This is my idea going forward.  If we have a constant fund going daily… we will have funds to give to those on the ground who are saving these horses in real time at the killing auctions.

Horse and Man Foundation, Inc has a new Fund button.  KEEP THEM OFF THE TRUCK FUND.  This fund will go on all day, all the time.  It will always be here.  If you want to save a horse from slaughter, you know we will do that here.

All donations are 100% tax deductible!

KEEP THEM OFF OF THE TRUCK donation fund!NOVEMBER BUCKET FUND HORSES!  Andre and Phoenix – BOTH with Massive Wounds and dumped at the auction!   Click here to read the story!

We are $320 from our goal!  Please help if you can… this is horrendous and will take a lot of expert care to heal them.

TO DONATE, CLICK HERE.  ALL DONATIONS ARE 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE!  THANK YOU!
