SATURDAY IS PHOBLOG DAY!

Today will be hot… so I will do chores early.  I need to do some barnwork and groom Maggie May.  She is a lot more calm since I separated her with Dalton and away from Mama and Baby.  Phew.  I was so confused on that one…  This winter will be interesting because in order to feed them, I need to walk down a steep slope – should be slippery after rain.  I need to figure that out.

HERE WE GO!

Now that’s a day’s work…

People are so creative with container houses.

Such a handsome wild one.

So true.

Swiss Photographer John Wilhelm

Maritime Traveler .The last living son of the great Secretariat… WOW

I love this. So much better than so many airline travelers.

Hubby’s Uncle just sent this to me. I don’t know the photog.

I would LOVE this.

OK so I have recovered enough from my broken back to kayak. I was actually on a very calm lake… but Hubby was so excited that I got out there – he created this.

I love everything except the Posts (?) outside the window.

Great idea.

Photo of a wild one from Dakota Grown. His red roan coloring is very dramatic!

KEEP THEM OFF THE TRUCK FUND.

The Horse and Man Foundation, Inc  KEEP THEM OFF THE TRUCK FUND  is different from the monthly Drop in the Bucket Fund – which is earmarked for a specific horse in dire need each month.  The Drop in the Bucket Fund has garnered and donated over a million dollars for horses in need!  Thank you!

The KEEP THEM OFF THE TRUCK FUND will go on all day, all the time. It will always be here.  Slaughter bound horses are in dire need daily in the US.  The pipeline is real.  If you want to save a horse or donkey from slaughter, know that this fund exclusively goes towards slaughter bound horses.  If you donate to the KEEP THEM OFF THE TRUCK FUND, all donations will be used on the next save.  All of it, every cent.

So far, the KEEP THEM OFF THE TRUCK FUND has saved POWDER PUFF 2/7/22 ($800),  EDDIE 2/9/22 ($1200), SURSHA 3/16/22 ($780),  BABY FRED 4/7/22 ($650), “CC” Close Call  5/17/22 ($550), PACIFICA  5/22/22 ($780), DONNA 7/25/22 ($600), MAXIMILLIAN 11/8/22 ($1300), “TJ” 1/8/23 ($1000), SWEETIE 1/8/23 ($700), MAMA and BABY 5/9/23 ($500), SHANGHAI  8/23/23 ($1200),  VICTORIA AND PIXIE  10/8/23 ($1000). Dawn – if you have a chance sometime read about the house design known as “Charleston Single.” The gorgeous container home shown in your post this weeks looks like it may have been styled in that fashion. Charleston Single homes have the front entrance more to the side of the structure with an interior porch running the length of the “front” of the home, a design feature which helps keep the home cooler in hot climates (which seem to be geographically expanding in recent times…). Too bad we can’t see the interior of this stunning creation!

The photo was labeled this way… but I agree with you. These are not slaughter bound horses as I’ve seen how they fly … but this is probably mislabeled and not Olympians. So, I will delete it. Thank you for pointing this out.

Calvin, sadly, I think you may be correct. My vet clinic has a quarantine section for horses both leaving and arriving from international flights and having viewed transportation arrangements for the high end sporthorses, they have much more luxurious (and safe) accommodations. I don’t believe the horses in the photo are headed for competitions (much less new forever homes). Not even a little.
