The one thing I loved about the Paso Robles house was the amount of birds! I had feeders everywhere… and every year, there was a nest outside my office that hatched a few clutches a season.
Well… the other day here at the Grass Valley house, I noticed that a bird would flush out every time I went to my car.
Hmmmm.
So, I pulled out my ladder and looked at the eves in front of our house by where we park our cars.
Lo and behold, a nest!
The same kind of eggs. It must be a house finch because the eggs are the same.
I’m so excited!

I got a little closer… look at the nest! So intricate.
I see leaves and feathers and donkey hair and branches… Amazing.
