My Christmas present from Hubby was fencing. I wanted to replace the red panels with wood fencing. I needed gates to pass through and a gate to go out to the big field and a gate to bring them out of the new paddock.
I also wanted a pass through from the tree alley to the big pasture, so I could get into the large pasture without having to maneuver the horse paddocks, especially if I had a horse myself and wanted to ride in the big pasture.
And, we needed to replace a line of wire from the one original fenceline. It was very wimpy and the horses were leaning on it badly.
Voila! It has started!!
MY PHOTO JOURNAL OF THE NEW FENCELINE!

My finger got in the way, but you can see that the horses (Annie, Missy Miss and Mo) are locked on the other side of the red panels. This open space here is where the gate will go in this new paddock.

Here is Annie, watching the guys place the fence posts. Mo was very curious but uneasy about all this. He stood back. Missy Miss kept eating.

Here is the view in the new paddock. It is basically the same – I’m just making the panel dividers a permanent thing with a gate between. In this way, I can separate Annie. Or, separate any of them to then be able to work on feet issues, or halter issues with MO… without any disturbances.

Mo is friends with both of the ladies… This is Missy Miss and Mo. Missy Miss pines for Annie. Annie is the Queen Bee.

Mo is very cautious. He smells me every time. It is as if his eyes are not too great – or he doesn’t trust what he sees. Look at his coloring. He is so pretty in a rough sort of way.

The guys left and that huge gap was still in the fence! I couldn’t leave it opened like that, and I couldn’t leave them all cooped up in the half paddock, so I did this. I tied on the gates. There. Fixed. Annie approved.
I DON’T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL COMPLETE THIS… BUT I’LL SHOW YOU WHEN THEY DO!A good way to start the week!
