Of course, this was just my opinion… but this booth, the Pony Pal Stable booth, was the busiest – all the time.
I think they have a hit on their hands… The items are rigid riding stuffed animals that are center sprung so that if you motioned up and down with your hips, the horse would squat and push forward. It was simple and ingenious.
They have 3 sizes and kids can easily learn to work the horse. It needs a smooth surface to work well.
I think the owners of this product are brand new to selling at large Expos.
I say this because there were no business cards, just phone numbers on cut up pieces of paper, and the website looked very new. Also, as I stood in their booth, the booth workers looked very overwhelmed and tired. I don’t think they knew much about selling to real, live people – and this many people – at once!
But they have a product that sells itself, so all that ‘selling know-how at conventions’ will come in time.

THE BEAUTY OF A BOOTH AND PONY PALS
The beauty was that the only way to try this toy was to make a spectacle – which drew more people to watch!
A kid would get onto a Pony and start riding and everyone around would ‘oooh and aaah”. It was remarkable.
There was an adult sized pony as well. I never saw anyone ride it, but it was very cool.
This was a kid in their booth, riding a zebra. You motion up and down with your hips to make the center-sprung horse – move.
THE PONIES
The toys are on some type of roller, wheel or caster. I guess you have to have a smooth surface for it to work. The cement floor of the Expo Center was perfect!
They come in several different models and three sizes. Small (3-5 yrs) Med (5-11 yrs) Large (11 – adult).
I was mesmerized watching the kids scoot around on these center-sprung horses. Fun! And, much cheaper than buying an actual pony!
