FELTED donkeys and farm animals!

Adorable.

This is my fav.

THE ARTIST.

Another career launched by Covid…  Caroline lost her job due to Covid.  So, she decided to do something she had always wanted to do, but didn’t have the time – felting.

So clever!  She also makes tiny donkey-face brooches.

You can contact the artist here on FB.  Or directly via email:  Cmwoolcompany@gmail.com

She can replicate YOUR horse or donkey… or dog or pig… any farm animal.

FELTING.

I had no idea about tiny animal felting art until today when I ran across the above photos!    So, I watched this You Tube video.

My best way to explain it is… you buy felt for needle felting (called Roving wool).  Also, you buy the needles you need.  The needles are used to stab into place (I think the wool sticks to itself – or knots into itself when you stab it with a needle).  You stab the felt to make crevices or smooth areas… basically shape it.  It is like sculpting, but with wool and a needle.

Watch the video.   Probably easier than me explaining.

HERE IS A LADY WHO FELTS DOGS ON ETSY

So, I looked on Etsy and didn’t find a felt horse artist, but I did find many dog artists.  Here is one.

AND THEN I FOUND THIS ONLINE COURSE!

As I was poking around on the internet, I found this woman who teaches felting!  She makes paintings out of fiber!  Who knew?!

Dani Ives:  Fiber artist.

SO MUCH FUN!!
