NOW LOOK AT THIS SERIES OF PHOTOS (and video).  Yowsa.  Ugh.

BUT WE CAN HELP!

To watch the heartbreaking video of this girl walking, please click here.  Please know that this filly has never known any differently.  She is genuinely a happy little girl – but she also looks after the other horses when they are playing and is forlorn… a bit.

Yikes! It is a very badly contracted tendon and it is FIXABLE!

ARIA’S STORY…

The story goes… that Aria had an injury as a tiny foal and somehow it turned into a contracted tendon.  The breeder Human in charge of her came upon hard times and couldn’t fix the contracted tendon.

The breeder human then put this sweet girl up for FREE on her FB page…   Kerri Abram of Twisted Whisker Ranch and Equine Rescue, in Bristow, Oklahoma followed the posting for about 2 weeks and no one offered help for Aria.  Kerri then Contacted Diana Darnall of Double D Animal Rescue and Community Services in Rhome, Texas.  They made a plan to work together and Diana transported Aria to Double D.

Diana also contacted HORSE & MAN…

She looks almost normal here… She is awaiting her first vet visit.

Here is the local vet examining Aria and taking Xrays.

WHAT THE VETS SAID – FIXABLE!

I spoke with one of the vets from Texas A&M who has reviewed the video of Aria.  Although this is one of the most severe cases of contracted tendons she has seen, she is also quite confident that if the surgery is performed soon, this condition is fixable.   Texas A&M quioted $2400 for the surgery, board and immediate after care.

Aria is still very young… and the sooner the better with contracted tendons.   The vet said she believes Aria would have at the very least, a good quality of life.  At best, she could be a normal filly!

She just wants to be a normal filly that can play with the others...

LET’S DO THIS THING – LET’S HELP HER GET THIS DONE BEFORE SHE GETS ANY OLDER!

Since Diana does not yet have her non-profit status, The Horse and Man Group will send all funds raised to the equine hospital that performs the surgery.  Let’s help her!  Starbucks money goes a loooong way!  Please help us help her!

PLEASE FORWARD!
