Yay!  Affordable Miniature Original Art – Leslie Anne Webb!

 

LESLIE ANNE WEBB IS NOW MAKING MINI ORIGINALS!!

I went to a wine and schmooze Art Festival this weekend at Naggiar Vineyards near my home.  The tasting room and grounds are just spectacular!  A great way to spend the only sunny day we’ve had in weeks…

Anyway, while I was there, I saw Leslie Anne Webb’s booth.  (Leslie is a famous artist who just happens to live here.)

Usually, I just admire Leslie’s work because I have never been able to afford an original.  But, when I browsed her booth, I saw — wait for it — MINIATURES!!  I was so excited, I almost spilled.  I couldn’t believe it!  The large originals were going for $6800…  But the minis were only $295!

I had to tell you guys in case you are Leslie Anne Webb fans from afar!

There were at least 14 glorious little pieces, already framed.  Wow!  I took photos of several and have posted them here.  But, I’m sure you could contact her and find out all that she has in her inventory.

Or, she can create a miniature of  YOUR animal!  (more on that later)

 

OMG WHAT?!  I CAN AFFORD AN ORIGINAL?

I think creating miniatures is a new thing for bigtime artists.  I saw that happening at the “Cowgirl UP!”  art show in New Mexico in May.  There were 49 female artists and the show director demanded a mini from all the artists.  Cool!

I was thrilled to see that Leslie started making original miniatures as well.  The inside painting is 6″ x 6″ and the outer frame is 5″ around.

She is only charging $295 for a framed original!!  You have to pay tax (in CA) and shipping, if you purchase online, but Wowee!!

 

 

WHY MINIATURE?

While speaking with the show director from Cowgirl UP!, he told me that many people during these economic times cannot afford original art.  So, minis are a nice entre into collecting originals.  Also, collectors run out of room…  The minis give them more options for more walls in their houses.  WIN WIN.

ORIGINAL OF YOUR OWN PET!

Leslie had a sign displayed that said if you wanted to send photos (good ones!) of your own special animal friend, she would create an original for YOU specially ($395)!  Way cool!

I kind of have personal experience with this because Leslie went to a mutual friend’s ranch to photograph a donkey there named, Stella.  Below is the result and it absolutely catches Stella’s goofy and loving personality!  It was right on!
