Today I am doing the ‘wrap’ of my job. Yay! After Monday, I will no longer be uber-involved with my work.
I can pay attention to all of my horses. I will finally have time to enjoy them again.
I’m so excited!
On the downside, much to all of our dismay, Mama Tess has developed an abscess. I am trying to draw it out as quickly as possible.
The vet came out and gave me an arsenal of drawing agents and anti-inflammatory creams as well as some pain meds. Sigh.
As everyone reminds me, this is a long process… Her hooves are growing and she looks really good, so we just have to put one foot in front of the other, so to speak.
She’s still happy to eat and drink but she is definitely very sore. Her favorite thing right now is a huge bag of fresh, clean shavings. I open one every day and she nickers when I do…
HERE WE GO!

This is a shot of Salt River Wild Horses (Arizona). Their FB page is amazing… As you can see, they stick their heads in the water to get the grass on the bottom of the river. These horses need support!

I love this. Hubby says he feels like this after a big dinner…

A special moment.

Saw that kangaroo and burst out laughing. Looks just like my brother!
In regards to MT’s abscess I like to think of it as the poisons gathering in one spot and exiting.
So sorry about Mama Tess’ abcess–hasn’t she been through enough?? I know you’re doing absolutely everything for her and that she knows that. I think of you both often and send healing thoughts your way every time.
