Today, I might go to the Draft Horse Classic that is held at our Fairgrounds each year. Sadly, it has gone downhill recently and I don’t know what happened. Some say the booth prices were too high. Some say they switched management. I don’t know. Maybe I will go and see what I can find out.
HERE WE GO!

Somewhere in Oregon

I had no idea that they had so many babies!

Sweet napping baby with Mama right there.

Peregrine Falcon. Mother Nature is amazing. I see three heads here…

Mama and Baby via drone.

Vulturine Guineafowl

Yes, please.

We need to remember this next time the power goes out!

This would be a very unique birth announcement.

I love this natural rock filtration!

I find this pic adorable! I think it is a Morgan but I don’t know.

Beautiful, wild baby

Old friends.

Young foes. (They are probably just playing.)

Yes please do a follow up on the Draft Horse Classic! Love those drafties (had one, very very special horse, they have amazing personalities). RFD-TV previously had a show called Gentle Giants and one year they coveredthe Draft Horse Classic. It was MAGICAL. The big hitches, at night, under the lights. I would hope that there are more draft horse people in California than in Washington and Oregon, maybe some of the draft horse folks from Idaho will attend, I think only one hitch competes out of Oregon. There used to be a draft horse competition of sorts in northern Washington (Lynden area east of Bellingham) but that too has pretty much fallen away. What many people don’t realize is how great drafts and draft crosses are as riding horses. That needs to be promoted more.
