I fell down while filming… but the horses look good anyway!!

We just got home tonight… and we are all tired and traveled out… so I thought I’d just show you a short video I took on our first day at the R Lazy S Ranch.

OK, so to set this up… I had been in the office after our 2nd ride of the day.  I think I was checking in with Cathy, the Ranch Manager.

Anyway, I heard a commotion and saw that the wranglers were running the horses into their night time, grassy pasture.  I could hear the horses running and screaming… and the CRACK of the bull whip (which just excites them and keeps all 80 horses from stopping along the way to eat grass…)

Oh My Gosh I was so excited, I burst out of the office door, ran full speed ahead while fumbling with my camera… AND FELL FLAT ON MY FACE!   I had totally forgotten about the steps outside the office.

There I was, writhing on the ground… but still managed to get my camera righted to video the horses running.

The funny part is that I knew my ankle really hurt, but I didn’t want to make any sound to ruin the video.  So I didn’t.  But towards the end, you hear me moan and laugh once I realized that my ankle was twisted, but totally fine.

Enjoy!

Click image to watch me fall… but still get the shot of these gorgeous horses!

I fall down all the time, so it’s nice to know I’m not alone. It’s a pretty place, but it looks wetter and more northern from where I live on the eastern slope in Colorado. I hope your donkey’s legs have improved.
