I NEED YOUR INPUT! WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE NEW WEBSITE?: Now is the time to make comments!

As you probably have noticed… slowly I’ve been making changes to the website (horseandman.com).

TM logo cannot change...

TM logo cannot change…

Does the site work well for you?  Easy to navigate?  Would you like other elements?  What do you think of the tabs and sidebar?

PLEASE FEEL FREE to click anywhere and everywhere and give your comments.  I would greatly appreciate the ‘once over’.

The designer and I are nearing the end of the changes/updates phase, so now is the time to give me your input.  I am happy to hear all of your thoughts.

Here are some of the pieces that you might have comment:

1)  Tabs.  What do you think?  Do they work for you?  Any comments?  IF YOU HAVE TIME to click through the tabs, please let me know what you think!

I love the new look! I really like the tab “The Crew” about all your ponies! It’s great to see their stories all in one place!

It works well for me. I like having the thermometer more accessible. Thanks for all you do! I often send your posts on to others who may need the information you share.

I love it all :) praing for Mama T still and I 2nd the request for horse pics – you could even do them a page of their own if you wanted lol – and the thermometer on the side is wonderful!

I’m glad to see that the site is now more optimized for mobile viewing… I used to click on your FB posts from my phone, and everything would be schrunched over to the left side. Really weird. Now, it looks like that’s been fixed!

I love the new site and how it looks! The only advice I could give you now, is you have a LOT of info in your archives and the search feature is really useful – but hard to find, located after all the different feeds you have going. Maybe think about moving it up a bit closer to the header where most people will look for a search feature.

Don’t change it to much. It works well as it is. Rosie has a good idea though. Having pics of your critters on the side bar would be good, or in the header. The tabs are great. I quit reading website that do major changes, and get hard to read. I am a firm believer in that if it works don’t change it. Your website is the FIRST THING I HAVE TO READ EVERY DAY! Thank you!

I didn’t realize there was construction going on but now it explains one thing that I would like to see put back into play. I only check Facebook periodically (and honestly it is only to see the PHOBLOG and wonderful posts you do) so when I would do my click through to Horse and Man, I would be able to catch up on your amazing posts by clicking the arrows that would appear at the top of each page allowing me to go to the previous posts or next posts (or until I’d be on the most recently done post.) That ability is gone and I haven’t been able to figure out how to find the most recent posts I missted, or, if I click to a post that was written a few days ago, to be able to click the arrow that used to appear, to view the most current posts. I liked the arrow navigation that would pop up, but if that isn’t able to be implemented again, perhaps on the site bar, list the current months posts by date (and title if possible) so we can click those we may not have read. I don’t like to miss a post but know I have.

I can’t get enough of your posts Dawn! Your writing is intoxicating and your causes are very eye opening. Oh how I miss the Princess LL stories but am right there in emotion over Mama Tess having had a horse with foot issues also.

Thank you for taking the time to write your blog like you do. It is a daunting task to keep up, but you have a dedicated follower(s) that can’t wait to read what you have to say and bring to our attention! Love, love, love it!

Love the tabs much easier to locate and navigate than the drop down. I get confused with the comments on the side but that prob has nothing to do with your page it’s just a mental defeict I’m sure. :)

I like the whole site, with one exception- word wrap is off, I find I have to scroll left to right to read text, which is annoying.

Heartening to read of MT’s improvement indeed.

    Blessings,
    Ina

I don’t if it is possible but I’d like it if you could put little pictures of each horse on the side. I know there are 12 or so but I like knowing which one you are talking about. I like having the bucket fund thermometer and link on the side. Thanks!
