Yesterday, I wrote the story of our September Bucket Fund horses – the 47+ horses being cared for by 2 vets in Houston. The photos were graphic and the conditions difficult to see… but your outpouring of caring, prayers and support has been wonderful. You can read the story here.
The good news, we are already half way to our goal!
Today, I thought it would be nice to see an educational, interesting and sweet video.
So without further ado, here is a short video on Horse Altruism. Horses helping horses. Or in this case, Shetland helping Mini against Stallion.
Of course, I am especially endeared by this video because the star is a Shetland Pony – just like my Slick and Dodger. I love those guys. I miss Slick every day.
Original video linked here.

Click image to watch the video. Here you can see the little Shetland having a chat with the big stallion.

In the middle of the altercation is the Shetland who is standing between the mini and the Stallion – having yet again anther discussion with the stallion to leave his tiny friend ALONE.
