Remember pet illustrator, Chris Beetow?… Well LOOKEY WHAT ARRIVED IN MY EMAIL!

Do you remember the story I reported about the pet illustrator, Chris Beetow?  It was last December – I thought her illustrations would make great Xmas gifts…

Here is that story link (lots of examples here.)

This is Chris’ FB and here is her website.

A GREAT PRESENT FOR HUBBY… SO I PLANNED!

Anyway, at the time last December, I wrote to Chris to ask to have an illustration created of Hubby’s dog, Shiva, for Hubby’s birthday… at that time, December 2014, the wait list was up to July 2015.  One illustration is $75.  Such a deal for all of the thought and creativity that goes into these!!

So, I put my name on the list, sent Chris a few pics of Shiva and Scoutypants – and a description of both dogs – and then forgot.

1)  For Shiva, I sent the below photos and this simple description:  Shiva is a very good dog, except when no one is looking.  If no one is looking, he will eat the cat food and steal all of the other dogs’ bones. He is horribly afraid of loud noises (firecrackers, thunder) and will crawl in your lap whenever he can.  Shiva always shakes his jangly color and sneezes when he wants something.

2)  Scoutypants:  Scout is our ‘delicate flower’ – not.  She’s a bull in a china shop but she doesn’t know it.  She thinks that she is a tiny little dog.  She has no idea how scary she looks.  Scout will happily bound at you – full force – and scare the beejuesus  out of anyone.  She looks like a gargoyle, I swear.  But, she is as sweet as they come.  I often find her riding up to the door in the UPS truck – sitting next to our driver.  Oh and she loooooves her stuffed animals.  She will NEVER rip them apart.  She just parades around with them in her mouth.
Sweet Scoutypants, our delicate flower…  Scary looking but not a mean bone in her body.  She’s not fat, she’s big boned…  ;)

IN MY EMAIL LAST THURSDAY – PERFECTION!

Right on schedule, a note from Chris arrived in my inbox, asking what I thought of this illustration of Shiva.

Wow!  What a fun surprise!!!!  HUBBY loved them both!!  He was grinning from ear to ear!  They will go in his office.

Her work CAN BE PRINTED ON CANVAS OR METAL OR TSHIRTS OR ANYTHING!

Chris sends you ideas on how to print her high resolution files.  You can use your own printer or Kinkos to make a lovely color print to frame… or… you can get a 16 x 20 canvas wrap.   There are places that make the print on canvas and it wraps around the frame.  Groupon has coupons, too!

Such great gifts!  You really oughtta check out her FB page!

If you contact Chris, please let her know you heard it from Shiva and Scouty!!  ;)
