Last week I told you all about my adventures at the Prison Trained Mustang Auction in Reno, Nevada.
If you’d like to read that post, click here.
While there, I took some really pathetic photos because I didn’t have access into the prisoners’ arena – for obvious reasons.
However, through the grapevine, I was given photos of the prison trained mustangs as they competed during the obstacle course. There was an amateur photographer who was able to get up close and personal on the course. That photog happened to also own a prison trained mustang, so he was able to get in closer.
Sadly, the only horse he didn’t photograph was ALL BUSINESS, my personal favorite. I really, really liked him. Oh well…
So without further ado, here are the ‘insider’ photos from the August 20th Prison Trained Mustang Adoption!
REMEMBER, THESE HORSES WERE WILD JUST 4 MONTHS PREVIOUS!

These are all the inmates getting organized before the competition. I love how CHUBS (on the far right is looking straight at camera!)

Curly Bill was the one who was really, really mellow... He sold for $500 and will be an incredible kids horse!

This is Jill Starr who is Lifesavers Mustang Rescue. She helped save 32 weanlings this month off of the Fallon lot. Anyway, she has 3 prison trained mustangs!
