One video to make your heart sing, another to make you laugh… A great way to finish off the New Year weekend!

I hardly know anything about cows… just that a cow herd lives next door and they are all in their late teens.  Sonja, my neighbor, loves ‘her girls’.  In fact, this summer, she built a brand new barn because she heard about the El Nino and thought her cows would be too cold in the old barn.

I love that about Sonja…

Actually, it is a dream of mine to rescue a steer or a dairy cow… but Hubby is pretty much dead set against it.  I don’t know why… but probably because we don’t  have much room left and because it would be ‘one more thing’ when we are almost tapped out on emotional energy.

But, I still want a cow someday…

BANDIT THE BULL IS FREE!

This video of Bandit the Bull and his rescuer, has circulated around FB today, so many of you might have seen it already.  But, in case you haven’t, this video will make your heart sing!

Freedom-dance of a bull that lived in chains
Bandit was one of many million that live worldwide in narrow stables in tethered housing, all life long. Do animals get used to this? Not really if you watch our unique video. Bandit shows his gratitude to Christian from our sanctuary Gut Aiderbichl and performs a dance of freedom. On our sanctuaries live more than 500 rescued cows, bulls and calves. Including the famous cow Yvonne.

CHICKEN POLICE!

OK, over 7 million people have seen this video, so clearly I am late to the party… But I swear I spit my coffee!

The video opens with a couple of rabbits running around acting crazy.  Suddenly, two chicken fly out and give the bunnies the ‘whatfor’.  Immediately, the bunnies quit the nonsense and stand quietly. Eventually, the chicken police nod and walk off slowly.  “Don’t make us come back here…”

First, you see happy bunnies going crazy… la lala la la…

Then you see two chickens fly in an insist that the bunnies STOP that nonsense!

Ooops. OK... all quiet on the Western Front...

    Laura:
I highlighted a paragraph that was under the You Tube video that said that all the animals were rescued.

How happy I was to see the bull free…..he showed his happiness too!
    But what about the others?
I can’t help to wonder what the others were feeling!
    I wish all were free!
