Yesterday I wrote about Sam, my friend’s horse who is over 18 hands.
Well, one of you wrote to me and asked if I had ever heard of Holy Roller, the World’s Tallest Thoroughbred Racehorse at 18.1 hands…
??
How could a racehorse be 18.1 hands?!
So I did some research… AND HE WAS AMAZING! From Australia. He hit his peak in 1997.
You must read on!

HOLY ROLLER’S STORY
I was going to write it all up from the bits and pieces I found on the Internet, but then I found that someone else had already done that – and well. The Aussies have such a colorful way of storytelling… The piece was a delight to read. (And the photos are awesome!)
So, I figured I should credit the writer, Costa Rolfe, and give you the original link from www.Punters.com.au. Great job, Costa!

My word he’s enormous. That race was amazing. Anyone else imagining what a foal by him out of Zenyatta would look like?
