As most of you know, my trade (what supports the horses) is the television industry. I am a commercial producer. Or, at least, I have been a commercial producer for the last 25 years – although presently, I kinda feel like more of a blogger than a producer.
(We will see what 2014 brings…)
But, anyway, the reason I’m bringing this up is because although the industry has been very, very good to me… and I have loved just about every day of work (for which I am very grateful), there is a lot of, uhhh, shall we say… excess.
I’ve justified the excesses in my career by saying that Productions pour money into whatever economy we visit. I also say that most of us industry worker-bees do good in one way or another. It seems that most of us feel the need to give back in our own way.
Which brings me to today’s video…
This guy nailed it.
He took the excess and turned it into instant Karma, the best way he knew how –
He took the budget earmarked for a high-end motion picture trailer, and spent it – in a good way – and got away with it. In fact, he was a hero!
I so admired this, I wanted to share it.
