I store this video on my desktop because I really enjoy the creativity involved. I enjoy the working dogs who really have the opportunity to shine… and I enjoy the plump and healthy looking sheep – having a workout! I figure it takes hours and hours of practice to accomplish something like this. So, I expect there is no longer any real excitement for the sheep. They could probably do this in their sleep. But, for me, it is quite beautiful – in so many ways.

So a bunch of sheep herders got together and organized this amazing series of feats utilizing the skills of the border collies and the natural herding intuition of these plump sheep. This is the preparation for the nighttime art. Could you even imagine putting lights on ALL OF THOSE SHEEP?! Me, neither! The sheep were so happy getting hugged when the guys were putting on the lights. They looked so pleased to be rubbed! You figure this had to happen often in order to practice this stunt. I’m guessing the sheep could almost do it without the dogs!
