Whenever I go to a new town on mini-vacation, I always pick up those Real Estate magazines that you see in those newspaper vending machines.
Do you?
I think it is a torture thing we do to ourselves… kind-of a Russian Roulette. Will the horse properties in my price range be better or worse than what I have now?
Do you do that?
I am constantly turning to Hubby and saying, “If we lived here, we could have blah blah AND blah blah blah…”
And his response is always the same, “Yeah, but we’d have to live here.”
Vice Versa, sometimes, I cannot believe how high the prices are for not much.
Anyway, nowadays, these Real Estate papers are online.
I don’t look at them online, but sometimes they come across my desk.
This one peaked my interest for a number of reasons, so I thought I’d show it to you.

I HAVE NO AFFILIATION – I don’t know the Agent or the owners.
I saw the video for this home and I thought it was so much fun!
But it also made me wonder about the owners… what were they like to create a Western Town on their property…?
Were they old tyme movie buffs?
Had they been in the Movie industry? D
Had they always felt they were born in the wrong era?
WAS THERE A WOMAN OF THE HOUSE?
Was his wife on board with this?
Did he have a wife?
Even though there seem to be few womanly touches, I’d live here in a heartbeat!

This was the only photo that made me think there was a woman involved…not because of the gorgeous wood barn, but because of the colored halters hanging. Of course, these could be boarders’ halters…

OK, here is the 2nd saloon on the property… this makes me think that he either didn’t have a wife or they were all just into major socializing.

This arena is great! Looks like it does manly functions with horses… cow stuff. The hoof prints look like calves feet.

I’m not a fan of roundpens but this is a good one. Look at the bleachers! And the tack barn is called, “Livery”.
ENTERTAINING PLACE!
They must have had people over all the time…
Or, maybe all the boarders were really good friends with each other….
Or maybe the boarding business was an excuse to make a Western Town?
Dunno…
Here’s what I do know – the inside of the house is nice and all, but not nearly as nice as the outside…. which makes me think that a very handy guy is behind all of this.

Besides all the horsey stuff and Cowboy archives, there was other stuff to do, too! Like ride around in this new kayak while watching ducks and geese.
ANYWAY… IT IS REASONABLY PRICED – WANNA LIVE IN LOYALTON, CA?
I know nothing about Loyalton other than that it sits near Reno in the Sierra Foothills.
It is very pretty…
