I got home really late last night (this morning) from my trip to Tucson and the Lazy B ranch… so…
I’m writing this simple story about Bob.
In case you have missed the Bob stories… Bob is the name we call all of the male Peacocks in the area. (if you watched them walk, you’d know why.)
Anyway, there are at least 30 Bobs around at all times. All of them have different amounts of plumage depending upon their age and their success in the mating fights.
Well, the other day, one of the Bobs decided to peek in at me through the window. (Please excuse Scouty’s slobber on the window… she had gone over to inspect.)
For those of you who don’t live in the country surrounded by peacocks, you might understand how I found this very interesting and freaky. He didn’t leave. This Bob wanted IN. My dogs, who were sitting right there, didn’t even flinch. That’s how many peacocks we have around…
I ran to get my camera and took a million photos. These tell the story.

Here’s Bob. He didn’t have a huge plumage but he was an older guy – pretty fat… so I think he must have lost a fight. Dunno. (Please excuse the dog slobber. Scoutypants had her nose all over the window at first, then she got bored and sat down.)
Eventually, he left… but it was after a long while. I stood on the stairway, far away, where he couldn’t see me, to take these photos.
