I love this story for so many reasons… one of which is that the horse in the article is a Morgan horse! (Mama Tess was a Morgan. Gwen and Wrigley are Morgans.)

This is the heartwarming moment a 97-year-old grandmother was granted a bucket-wish list to ride a horse again.
Janet Fauks, 97, from Oklahoma, received a gift voucher from the Cottonwood Creek Ranch in Oklahoma City for Christmas.
However, the pensioner had to wait until last weekend to go for a ride as she wasn’t feeling very well and also wanted the weather to improve.

With members of her family watching, including her sons, daughters and granddaughters, Mrs Fauks made her way, using a walker, to Stretch, a Morgan horse.
She was helped into the saddle and confidently took the reins before being led around the arena. She also took full control of Stretch and briefly trotted.
After several trips being led around the arena, Mrs Fauks and Stretch were brought out briefly into the ranch’s yard for some photographs with her family.
Eventually Mrs Fauks was led outside so she could have a photograph with her family
