Receipts and photo Thank You from June’s Bucket Fund sling drive!

In June, our Bucket Fund was to help Chrome’s rescuers purchase a lifesaving equine sling.  You can read that story here.

THANK YOU, EVERYONE!  THIS MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE FOR BUTLER COUNTY LARGE ANIMAL EMERGENCY SERVICES!

THANK YOU to everyone!  We were very successful!  In fact, Jan from EmergencyAnimalRescue.org DONATED their extra sling!!  THANK YOU, JAN!

With the available funds, we shipped the very heavy sling to Butler County Large Animal Emergency Services.

Here is a pic of the sling that was donated and sent.

It was really, really heavy and bulky. It cost almost $300 to ship! I was told that it had never been used!!

Here is the receipt for the shipping.

Butler County had no way of receiving electronic funds, so I sent a check.

The check for the cash funds. Shipping was paid via Pay Pal.

Extra stamps to make sure it got there.

THE LOVELY THANK-YOU NOTE

Upon receipt of the sling, we received a lovely thank-you note from Butler County.

This is the outside of the Thank-you card sent by Butler County

I thought this was a beautiful tribute for a mare at her last show…

Did you, by chance, see that black Shetland pony who worked at liberty in front of the Eiffel Tower?

Well, his trainer is Jesse Drent.

WHAT VIDEO I LIKED EVEN BETTER… IS THIS ONE BELOW.

Jesse also has trained his lovely mare, Andorra, at Liberty, for the past 14 years.  She had her last show at 28 years-old, and below is his special tribute to her.

It left me in tears.  All I could think about was Gwen.  She was 28 when she passed – too young.

Even though there were over 1000 comments under the video, I felt compelled to reach out to him after watching.  Here is what I said:

“With 1232 comments, I doubt you will see this, Jesse… but I need to tell you how moved I was by this tribute and your sentiments together – and her eyes for you, those soft soft soft eyes for you. I just lost my 28 year-old mare who was born here. She was my girl and I so understand all of your emotions. Thank you for saying what I didn’t get to say about my mare. Thank you to you for this – and Thank you to all the incredible mares.”

I was so moved…

Please enjoy.  You can fast forward to near the end when he actually is getting ready to go on stage with Andorra for the last time.
