LOOKEY WHAT SHOWED UP ON MY DOORSTEP!!!: MRS. TULLAMORE’S TREATS!

Wednesday, December 19th, 2012 | Filed under Nutrition

A week or so ago, a reader told me that I should try some of Mrs. Tullamore’s treats.

I asked her, “What are they?”

She said, “They’re good.”

Me:  “In what way?”

Her:  “Good for your horse, made personally by Ann with only good stuff and lots of steel cut chia.  My horses gobble them up and I swear I see a difference in two weeks with all of that chia…”

Me:  “OK.  Where are they sold?”

Her:  “Let me check…”

And that was the extent of our conversation, pretty much…

Lo and Behold, a week and some days later, LOOK what shows up at my door!!

My fun box of Mrs. Tullamore's horse and dog chia treats!

YIPPEE!!!  I could hear my horses doing backflips after the UPS guy left.

Them:  It’s for us!  It’s for US!  IT’S FOR US!!!

They knew.

I think they could smell the box…

My lovely gift box full of dog and horse treats… (ignore my bad flash photography, please) I think the 20 ounce horse treats are $9.50 and the dog treats – lots to a tub – are only $4.95!

MRS. TULLAMORE’S TREATS

So, I dug into the box and found a stash of horse and dog cookies!

Hmmmmm.

Also inside were sweet, hand created instructions and information.

Nice.

The ingredients sounded all good…Crimped oats, whole wheat, wheat bran, unsweetened applesauce, steel cut chia seeds, unsulphured molassas, water, potassium sorbate.

OK… I liked all of those ingredients.  Especially the steel cut chia…

Before I could get the first tub opened, Sirdar (Hubby’s cat and my personal assistant) had pounced!  His face was in the tub, drooling on the first treat.   Drooling on food is his way of claiming something.  Yup, after that, I had to give it to him…  Smart Kitty.

Sirdar drooling on a treat. He was on them like a cheap suit! These are the horse treats. They were moist, smelled great and there were several inside.

Of course, I had to take a bite, too.

Not so good, really… but I usually don’t like the taste of horse treats.  But, I bit.  I’d rather get sick than my horses.

I was fine.

I ate one... not so tasty to humans. But horse cookies are usually a let-down for me.

DOGS

I could hear rustling downstairs and knew Shiva had caught wind of the excitement upstairs.

Poor guy.  He just lost his two best friends these last few months…. I decided to give him some dog treats.

Again, I had hardly opened the tub when Floppy Kitty confiscated the topmost treat!

These are the dog treats. They are a perfect size for training... Note Sirdar at the edge of frame. He stole a dog treat and it hoovering it.

Cats love these.

Mrs. Tullamore might want to make a cat treat…

Anyway, Shiva asked politely and received his treat.

Then he want doggiec-r-a-z-y!  More More Mooooooree!

His excitement got the puppies excited and the house was in slobbery, meowey, jumpy, memememe! hyper-overdrive for Treats!

I gave everyone several waferlike cookies and still have quite a few left over.

HORSES

The next morning, I brought the treats to the horses.

I think the heavens parted…

Or at least that was how it seemed.

Norma, my donkey, was the most dumbstruck.  She was stunned and amazed by the mouth sensation of these treats.  I swear… she followed me around in a most unladylike manner – which is so against her nature.  I think her eyes got even BIGGER!  And the best part, I decided to hide her medicine in her third Mrs. Tullamore’s treat.

Ha!  It worked!

Below is the parade of treats offered to my horses.  Slick and Norma were in the barn and my camera flash is broken so I have no photos of them.  I had the 20 ounce tub and I fed everyone a cookie plus the dogs. So, I think there were at least 15, nice sized rounds in there.

WEBSITE

Here is the only disappointing part… not much information on the website

It doesn’t tell you how to order or the cost.  It just gives you her personal email address:  mrstullamorestreats@gmail.com

HOWEVER, I did find out what I think the costs were from the original reader who told me about these horseycrack treats.

The 2o ounce tub of Horse Treats was $9.50 and the dog treat tub was only $4.95!!  Such a deal!!

So, if I were you, I’d email her (mrstullamorestreats@gmail.com) and get some treats before her prices go up!

I don't know if she can still ship for Xmas... but these treats will be a hit all year long, according to my menagerie.

I did not receive my email Horse and Man this morning but found it on Facebook. Do not know why that is happening but as long as I can find you on Facebook all is well.
