Do you remember when Big Oaks Rescue Farm rescued a very neglected, older mare with one eye named, Patches?
We helped support her through the Bucket Fund… however, at the time, she wasn’t making friends and she hadn’t adjusted well.
She was very skinny.
Had lost an eye and the socket had never been treated.
And she suffered from several issues in her good eye.
WELL, LOOK AT PATCHES NOW!
Big Oaks Rescue adopted Patches out to a family who can take care of her and dote on her. They have a daughter who just loves and adores Patches. The old mare has finally come out of her shell and is very, very happy.
Nice.
Groomed and happy! Confident enough to carry a rider. (No, I don’t like flip flops around horses…)
