It is almost unbelievable how well Jasper is doing now that the one (infected) bullet in his leg was surgically removed. The other bullet needs to stay where it is (deep in his neck) as it is too risky to take it out – unless complications erupt.
So far, so good.
Our boy is doing very well! (No, they haven’t caught the perp, but at least they do now have a bullet for evidence!)
PHOTOS OF JASPER FROM YESTERDAY!

JASPER YESTERDAY! He looks awesome! So different from the depressed and very sore boy he was a month ago! (The lovely lady in the rear is his best girl, Starlette).
OUR DONATIONS TO JASPER’S VET HOSPITAL
A KIND NOTE FROM JASPER’S OWNER AND THE VET HOSPITAL
From Jasper’s owner:
This was Jasper today. It’s hard to believe how well he is doing just a month after being shot. I cannot express enough gratitude for the amazing veterinary care he received, early and often, those who so generously donated to help with the bills, and superb follow up care at the barn. The prayers and positive vibes that everyone has sent his way have worked! At this point, barring any further random complications, he should be back to almost normal very soon. The detective is still working on his case to catch the *&^% who did this…that process is slow. Tonight I am just feeling relieved, and happy to work with this cute, super lucky horse, on his recovery. <3
Thank you again for your help with Jasper, and all of the other horses you support. I hope to become part of that in the near future!
Always,
Geneva
From the vet hospital:
GREAT JOB, EVERYONE!! THANK YOU!
