You all prayed and donated and wished the best for this little filly – and it is working!
Imagine this 8 month-old girl coming back from such horrible neglect! Many people thought that she could not survive this.
You can read Blue Blaze’s story here.
SHE IMPROVED AND THEN WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL…
It is not surprising that Blue would colic. After all, look at her… With the best of care, her tummy is going to respond/react no matter.
Luckily, her caretakers at USERL rushed her to a nearby equine hospital for treatment and observation – and she passed through her colic!
She is on Ulcerguard. But once those meds are done, Omega Alpha sent Gastra FX! Wasn’t that kind of them?!
Also, another kind reader went ahead and sent some supplements that she really believed in and thought would help our girl.
Wow.
You readers are awesome! This horse needed all the prayers, good thoughts and donations available to her!

A few weeks of groceries and she is much steadier on her feet. But, with food can come gastrointestinal distress… not surprising no matter how benevolent her feed.

Here she is, at the hospital. Obviously her coat is healing and she continued to be bathed and groomed daily.
HERE SHE IS, AFTER HER BUCKET FUND MONTH!
With much support, love, prayers and donations, LOOK AT HER!!

Her caretakers at US Equine Rescue League did everything in their power to help her heal. Look at her coat!

I know this looks bad, but this is GREAT progress. Starvation neglect takes slow treatment… it will take time, but it sure looks like she will make it!
AMAZING! YOU ALL WENT ABOVE OUR GOAL AND YOUR DONATIONS ARE SO APPRECIATED!
A note from Paula at USERL: Thank you so much. We could not have done this without the help of the donors from Horse and Man! Blue does have her ponytude but she is as sweet as can be…She usually is laid back and easy to work with. She loves to be groomed and loved on. I must say she is spoiled.
AWESOME!!
