Do you remember our July Bucket Fund filly, Blue Blaze? (story linked here)
WELL, LOOK AT HER TODAY!
I received this email from Paula of United States Equine Rescue League – NCCP Region – they took her in when she was almost beyond helping… USERL took extreme care with this 8 years old, starved filly. You all donated and sent good wishes~
Amazing results! Thanks to everyone involved!
Here is the email:
I have a couple of pictures that were taken yesterday. It certainly has been a journey but she is doing very well now. We have made several more trips to The NC Vet school where it was determined that she has had some liver damage. The vets feel that it is bacterial infection which most likely happened when the county where she came from had several flooding. The flooding occurred when she was a foal. She continues on meds which has helped her enzymes levels immensely. The vets all concur that she will beat liver issue in time.
If it had not been for Horse and Man, USERL never would have been able to give her the quality care that Blue Blaze so deserved. Blue has a birthday coming up soon. She is going to be a yearling…
Thank you,
Paula
