My second ride on Dalton since he has been in training!

Dalton is living 1.5 hours away.  He is in training with Gillian Larson, Thru-rider.

BUT FIRST, AGREAT OPPORTUNITY ALERT!

*If any of you are somewhat local and are horse camping or thru-riding enthusiasts, please attend her upcoming clinic!  Gillian has but lots of hours into creating a class on how to pack and horse camp successfully.  Gillian has over 10,000 miles on horseback!  She does the ‘trails’.  Ie:  Pacific Crest Trail, Appalachian Trail…   You can bring your horse or just yourself.  This girl has a world of information!  Her guides are really, really inexpensive and chock full of years of packing/camping trail riding information!

IF YOU

IF YOU WOULD RATHER LEARN THROUGH WRITTEN GUIDES, THESE ARE REALLY INEXPENSIVE AND TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

BACK TO DALTON!

Today, we rode around where Gillian lives.  Although we trailered to the trail head, it was only about 5 mins away from her home.

Once again, I didn’t bring any pockets, so I had my camera in my bra.  Not the best idea.  And, I wasn’t able to take many good pics because of a bunch of reasons.  But anyway, here is what I have… a fun time with a couple of very good boys.

Dalton is looking fit but not too happy to go to work today…

He now loads very successfully… we need to train him to my trailer now.

Like I said, I didn’t take many good pics…

We made it to the top of the hill…

Very pretty homes around there…

At one point, we switched horses. I felt really lucky and honored to be riding one of Gillian’s uber trained trail horses that has gone on 10,000 miles of trails!

Dalton was upset over the upturned hay trough that wasn’t like that the last time he came through here…

He got over it.

Backing out like a good boy.

Dalton begging me to save him from the dreaded hose.
