MOTHER NATURE and I go for a stroll around the ranch…

Tonight, as all the guests and employees of the R Lazy S Ranch were at the Thursday evening shindig at the BBQ area, I took it upon myself to sneak away so that I could spend time on the ranch without anyone else…

Here is what I saw:

A moose! Just outside the cabins.

I went over to the mini donkey paddock and the female came right over!  I don’t know her name.

And here is her daughter! Sweet girls.

This is Little Mo, their Boss.

He sent the girls away…

My friend from the other night, Freckles, was beckoning me.

A bunch of ravens sat on the fence… it was very cool.

Freckles.

He wanted grass.

This is the owner of the ranch, Kelly’s, horse. Her name is “Bear”. She has been here every year I’ve attended.

Bear had frostbite on her ears when she was a baby.

This very battle scarred horse was in the pen with Bear and was obviously the BOSSMAN. I don’t know who he was but he commanded all the attention. You can see Bear in the background.

He would not leave me alone (which I adored). Here he was smelling my arm before I pulled away to take this photo.

A magpie was calling…

The scarred mystery man in Bear’s paddock. He was impressive. I’ll find out tomorrow who he is.

I sat on the office porch, totally alone on the Ranch grounds and drank up the sunset. Mystery gelding is still watching me from his paddock. (I put in an arrow.)

And our friend Fran with the moose. Such an amazing place.

Oh Dawn the pictures are outstanding!!!!
The very last picture caught my eye with the brilliant rays beaming down from the sky above.
Sometimes we acheive much more in a photo than we thought.
    Thank you for sharing.
