I have such a soft spot for the wild ones… They were once happy in their wild lives and then their whole world became a prison at the BLM holding facilities. Trapped. Forever. …So against their nature.
But, HERE IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY to adopt a newly gathered baby! Babies are easier to gentle and so much more valuable than their $125 adoption fee! I have 3 Wild Ones at my place. One was very pregnant when she arrived and her baby was incredible. A beautiful 11 point dun. “Mini-Me” found a forever home immediately and lives very happily as a prized ranch mount.
Wild horses are not the same as domestic horses. They have not watched their herd interact with humans… but, with time and patience, respect and love, they are wonderful companions. I promise.

Beth: I don’t know who you meant to contact, but you wrote to the blogger, not “Victoria”.
Dear Victoria,
I’m working toward having a place for two Mustang weanlings within the next 6 months to a year. I adopted two many years ago at a satellite adoption near where I lived at the time. They were great horses :). When I get set up do you think you could direct me to the nearest site to adopt weanlings from please? I would really appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Beth W. Sheehan
