EMERGENCY DECEMBER BUCKET FUND – 23 wild horses – a family – mares, pregnant mares, babies, youths and aunties were rounded up for crossing the HWY to get to water – too many times. BUT WE CAN HELP!

23 Wild horses in Nevada were just rounded up because they wandered onto the HWY too many times – trying to cross to water.  These 23 horses – a family  – pregnant mares, babies, youth, aunts, new geldings… have three strikes against them.  So, they have no rights.

The law says that they have to go to the meat auction.  All 23.  Done.  Boom.  Gone.

HOWEVER, LRTC  (a rescue group I trust implicitly) has stepped up to find adopters.  They 99.9% guarantee success for all 23, if they can have a month to organize and make it happen.

We can give them that time!  The auction facility will board the horses for $6/day.  If we can give LRTC a month for these 23 horses, that would be 23 beautiful wild horses – SAVED.  23 x $6 x 30 days = $4140

WE CAN DO THIS!  WE can give them time!

Hi Crystal. Yesterday I ran a utility just for grins and the LRTC website actually includes 992 separate web documents divided into various sections (rescue / adoption horses, training, technical large animal rescue, adopter information, case studies, workshops and clinics, safety and survival information, mounted search and rescue and more… including archived pages dating back to the 1990s. So it’s easy for folks to drop into odd places in this plethora of information and get lost, or end up wandering the archives looking for a way out from “Back to the Future.”

This latest confusion has prompted me, as time permits, to flag the old pages more clearly as historical archives and include more visible links to go to current information. With the number of documents in the system, this will take some time but I really appreciate you pointing out the problem.

That was my fault… I linked it. I’ve fixed it and added the FB page. Most people don’t update their website but they do update
    their FB.

When going to the link for let it is info or 2006… while saving horses is great why is their stuff so outdated?
