(As an aside, because of my quest to identify this tree, I found LEAFSNAP for iPhone. I also downloaded the Garden Answers Plant Identification app. So far, no identification.)
I’m preparing for my Mother’s birthday tomorrow (July 25th) and part of that preparedness was knowing what kind of trees were surrounding the new house.
So, I got out my California book of trees – and could not identify any part of this tree. Not the leaves, the bark or the fruit/seeds.
Can you?
I just love this tree. We have two of them. And, if they are easy to grow, I plan on planting a few more.
So, THANK YOU in advance if you know this tree! Please email me the answer!
HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY!
HORSE AND MAN is a blog in growth... if you like this, please pass it around!

It is a Raywood Ash! Thanks for writing!
Dawn,
I think it may be a “Tree of Heaven” just by looking at the bark….check out this website:

If it is…it is an invasive.
