As most of you know, most of the time it is just me here. So, handling the camera while I do stuff with the horses is an acquired art – that I haven’t quite acquired, yet.
But, I tried today… I wanted you all to hear Annie’s quirky nicker and to watch her kind eye. I also wanted you to see how easy she is and how kind. I think this mare is very, very sweet. She isn’t easy to blowup or startle. Annie is a solid gal. Feet on the ground. Kind. Willing.
I feel lucky that she’s here.
As far as measuring, she seems really tall to me. I did my best to tape her and I think she is only 16h. Not sure. Maybe 16.1h. I would have sworn she was at least 16.3 or 17h. But, I’m short so maybe they all look tall to me. Dunno. I do have a stick, which is much more accurate, but she wasn’t OK with it so I used a tape.
Just an fyi… after I stopped the video, I went and got my limbers. As I was trimming the tree branches, she was nibbling my scalp. When I’d trim a branch over her head, the branch would fall right on her back, neck or head – and she wouldn’t flinch. Solid. Annie is a lovely mare, for sure.
HERE IS A LINK TO THE VIDEO!

Oh my Dawn…. Great video!
Makes me want to touch her too!
Love how you talk to her soooo soothing!
Very ingenious of you… the link works but sorry that you had trouble. Good workaround! ;)
Nice video but the link is wrong (youtu.be). I found it by searching for Horse and Man on youtube.
