I ran across this video about all the uses for old wood pallets a while back…
Today I noticed that this same video has over 1.6 million views so you might have already seen it.
Then again, you might not have seen it.
Anyway, since most of us horse people are very familiar with pallets because we see them around or use pallets or trip over them… I thought this video could be enlightening in that it shows ways to view pallets like we’ve never seen them before.
For me, I never thought of pallets as being a wood source for building material. But, why not? There are zillions of them out there in various stages of deconstruction (every single one of my pallets needs repair). So why not recycle and make something useful and wonderful?
To be honest, while viewing this wood pallet video, I was enthralled – if one can be enthralled during a pallet video – with some of the ingenious designs!
The only downfall is that it tells you to go to http://repallet.com to get the blueprints for the designs featured in the video… and when you go to that URL, there are only a few blueprints. Disappointing. But, otherwise, totally worth the 2 minutes it takes to view the video!
Without further ado… here is the video from the Canadian Wood and Pallet Container Association.

Love your blog! I watched the video and the pictures flashed by so fast I couldn’t really see how to build the things featured. I appreciate the photos you have on your blog. I think I’ll make that chair too! :) I just finished making my first pallet item which is my own design that I’m happy to share, a trash can holder to keep the trash can from blowing away in high winds. I haven’t seen this item listed on pallet sites yet:. I’m sure your readers can improve on the idea
