INGENIOUS IDEAS FOR A MONDAY! Transform a garbage bin and pallets!

I’ve been saving these two pics on my desktop for a while…

1)  Another idea for a HOME MADE SLOW FEEDER:

I  loved the idea of a slow feeder made from a garbage bin (with some added improvements from commenters).

–One of the commenters suggested rigging a way to keep the lid locked because her horse was able to open the lid and eat from the top.

–Several commenters suggested adding a rubber mat underneath so they don’t ingest dirt or sand.

–If your horse can knock this over – and most can – figure out a way to tie it to your fencepost or something strong like that.

–Finally, put mesh in front of the hole (or make a smaller hole) so that the horse cannot pull out too much hay at a time and defeat the purpose.

2)  CORRAL MADE WITH PALLETS AND T-POSTS!  (NOT FOR MOST LARGE HORSES – BUT COULD BE GOOD FOR QUIET HORSES OR RECOVERING HORSES LIKE MAMA TESS)

I don’t think this would work for any rambunctious horse or most average horses… but for Mama Tess or other respectful, older, sick or smaller horses, this could be a nice little corral – cheap!

–Make sure to cover the T-posts with caps.

–You’d want to face the inside with plywood so no hooves could get stuck between the pallet boards..

–You’d need a gate…

–Hubby says to also add steel plates to screw the pallets together – but the plywood might do the same thing.

–NOT FOR EVERY HORSE AT ALL… ONLY FOR SEDATE HORSES OR HORSES WHO ARE RECOVERING QUIETLY or small horses… but a good idea for the right horse or sheep, or other small animals.

Not really good for most large horses, but could be good for recovering horses like Mama Tess... old, not rambunctious. This would need facing and some t-post caps.

I’ve found another item to sell to benefit MT or the Bucket Fund I’m working on for June (still working out the details)!

I bought this last summer and never felt beachy enough to wear it – no tan…  I paid $48

SOLD!  THANK YOU, LINDA!

Double it and wear as a 2x wrap necklace OR wrap it 5x as a bracelet!

Each wrap in my SunDrops collection is made with tiny glass beads crocheted on a super durable nylon cord. It can be worn all the time, as it looks great alone or layered with your other favorite pieces. Very easy to wear because they are so lightweight, versatile, and virtually indestructible with regular wear! Great way to have a layered look without the bulk & weight this summer!

LOVE these tiny beads! Minty seafoam czech glass beads tightly crocheted on brown nylon cord. Provides a soft, calming, neutral look. A sterling silver starfish dangles from the loop closure. Perfect with your summer cargos — looks great worn with olive green and khaki colors.

This piece is waterproof. Perfect for the beach, pool, or workout. Looks great doubled as a necklace and then switch over to wrap your wrist for a dip in the pool :) Simply rinse in warm water and let air dry.

Measures 34″ long.
