AN UPDATE ON OUR BLIND FILLY and On-the-Ground Hoof Trimmers for sale!

Well, first off, I was so excited about the On the Ground Hoof Trimmers I have purchased from Jeffers that I wrote about them a few weeks ago (you can read that blog here).  It is a great idea and many of you had told me how wonderful they were for horses who had trouble raising their feet and/or any hoofed animal that needed a trim: cows, goats, pigs, buffalo…

However, I’m a small person.  When they arrived, I could barely lift these nippers and I certainly couldn’t work them.  Still, I held out hope that the Founder Warrior could use them…

When the Founder Warrior arrived on Monday, she tried her hardest… but she is my size.  Although we wanted to be able to manipulate these hoof trimmers, we couldn’t.  Sigh.

Such a good idea but needs a very strong upper body/wingspan.

So, I’m offering this brand new, never-used set for sale.

I paid $78 plus $20 shipping = $98.  I am willing to sell them (including shipping) for $75.  Personally, I think any farrier should have these in their truck!

SOLD!  THANK YOU, CASEY!

UPDATE ON OUR BLIND FILLY THAT NEEDS SURGERY!

4231062_1429338554.3668_funddescription

The great news is that we were able to raise enough money ($1830) for the specialist to perform the surgery…

The filly’s owner and her devoted friends are just $800 shy of the total amount for both eyes to be corrected, hospitalization and recovery!

The surgery is scheduled for June 4th!  Of course, we will keep you all posted.

If anyone would like to donate towards the remaining $800, click here.

Thank you, everyone!   Turning this heartbreak around is such a gift!

We thought we had just a bit more money but some of the e-checks didn't clear. But, this is a very nice amount and did fulfill our wish to pay for the Specialist to perform her surgery.

Dawn, I bought the nippers! I figure with all my old folks here, our farriers might really like these – and they ARE strong! Thank you! Casey
