Last month, our Bucket Fund horses were Tia and Shakira, two mares who had been cooped up in a manure filled barn, never being let out, for years.

Unfortunately, Tia did not survive (read her story here). However, Shakira is doing well! Here is an update:

Here are the most recent photos I have of Shakira – just playful photos taken with Jill Daigle, one of our staff who has been her primary caretaker. They adore each other- Shakira follows her around like a puppy.
