The GREAT NEWS is that Granny Pony has improved! Granny had IV fluids, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory meds, vitamins, a robust re-feeding program… and she is better! I’ve been told that she is much brighter, loves to have her head rubbed and eats and drinks up a storm!
Here is a pic of her taken earlier this week.
With our help, her caretakers were able to provide a brand new blanket for the cold nights.

The vets told me that her feed has made a remarkable change in this starving, old pony. They’ve all fallen in love with her.
In the bucket is: Triple Crown Senior, alfalfa and orchard grass pellets, Coolstance (I gave this to Mama Tess – love it), Probios, electrolytes and epsom salts (this was new to me… evidently helps with elimination and colic prevention).

WE PAID THE VET HOSPITAL FOR GRANNY’S FIRST FEW SCARY DAYS!
Our helping has been a huge relief for her caretakers. Knowing that her vet bill was covered has taken the stress off of her rescue and rehabilitation. Now they can just care for her and love on her.
We hope to continue covering her vet bills for this week… and purchase the next round of feed for Granny.
