UPDATE: Granny Pony has a new name! (and donation receipts!)

Granny Pony was our Bucket Fund horse last month… She is almost blind, mid 30’s and was left at a meat auction in the same pen as large horses.  The poor girl was terrified and bruised from being pushed around.  She was skinny and very sick.  You can read her story here.

Luckily, Granny Pony was rescued and is being rehabbed by Beck Bolton of The Phoenyx Farm And Sanctuary.

All of you were so generous with donations and prayers.  THANK YOU ALL!

Here is a note from Beck Bolton – WHEN SHE MENTIONS MY NAME, just insert yours…:

GRANNY PONY NOW!

Here is a pic of Granny now!  She is still old and mostly blind, but she is happy and eating heartily!  And, her coat, although still shaggy, is shedding out well.

GRANNY PONY HAS A NEW NAME:  Nonna!

We held a drawing last month to pick her name!  Anyone who donated $20 could throw their new name idea in the hat.  Well, we drew the name and NONNA won!  “Nonna” is Italian for Grandma.

Now Granny Pony has a dignified name!

Thank you all for voting.  All of the names were really well thought out and wonderful.  Many people gave the names of their grandmothers.  I thought that was sweet.

DONATION RECEIPTS

We cannot send funds to private parties, so we donated to the vet hospital who tended to Granny and brought her back to life… as well as the local feed store to keep her healthy mashes coming!

A GREAT SUCCESS!  Thank you, everyone!

May Bucket Fund!  Our 3 mustang babies!  Click here for story.   We are just $305 short of our goal!  (The vet bills are over $7500!!)

All donations are 100% tax deductible!  Thank you in advance!
