Everyone is doing well on their re-feeding, teeth floating, worming and skin cleaning programs! I received these new pics taken during a break in the rain yesterday (they are in Oregon at Strawberry Mountain Mustangs!)
Much work and rehabbing has happened these past 2 weeks! Trims happen next week. One worming left to go. All have been bathed and had their teeth floated. Yay! Good work!

OLDER MARE
This was her upon intake:
This is Darla’s quote on her today: Someone has developed quite a bit of sass! After running during turn out today, everyone got their legs hosed and they’ve all now been wormed. Getting a picture of Miss Sass here was tough because she’s was so fidgety!

Re-feeding is a slow process, but you can see that her ribs are not as pronounced and her top line is starting to fill in. And, she has ENERGY! The first night of her arrival, everyone thought she might not make it. Two weeks later, she’s a fighter!
THE GELDING WHO SAVED THEM ALL!
This is him upon intake:
This is what Darla had to say about him today: Speaking of ‘tude… The force is strong in this one. We’ve got obvious changes now, but his energy level is off the charts – so if he sees a halter coming it’s going to be a process to get him caught. ;) He has a new donated coat which he much prefers over the old pink one. Don’t let his expression fool you. No, seriously, he loves it. NOT. Comparison pic is two weeks ago today, and this afternoon. Next up…farrier for this guy!!! He was wormed today also…
THE YOUNGER MARE!
This was her intake pic:

This mare is the youngest at approx 10 years. She is very large but a 2.5 on the scale. Taped at 900 lbs. Intake pic.
This is what Darla said today about her today: So here’s our big girl… Her previous owners (before the last) called her Sister, and she’s supposed to be Peppy San bred. She’s had her teeth floated and feet trimmed already… It was another blustery day in the 100 acre wood, so of course she got soaked during turn out by rolling in the wettest much she could find. Blanket swapped and she’s tucked in and ready for dinner…
Here are her new photos!
