Tracy Ely is one of those gals who works behind the scenes… you don’t really hear or see her, but her work is felt all over.
Tracy makes earrings for Horse Rescues all over the country to sell for donations.
SHE DOESN’T GET PAID, SHE DOES IT FOR THE HORSES.
Tracy buys all the materials, creates all the designs and earring pairs, types out little descriptions, cuts out those descriptions and mounts them on background colored paper, cuts out white cards to hang the earrings, draws designs on the white cards that hold the earrings, then she carefully puts the earrings on the cards with the description into a plastic baggie and delicately secures for shipping with individual, hand-cut bubble wrappers… all without any compensation.
She does this for many horse rescues, all over the country, constantly, so that Horse Rescues have something to sell to solicit donations. Mama Tess, Bodhi, the Navajo 12 and a few other of our Bucket Funds have benefited from Tracy’s good will…

TRACY’S FRIEND’S HORSE, SUNDANCE, DIDN’T SURVIVE… HIS HEARTBREAKING STORY.
Tracy’s good friend had a beloved Peruvian Paso gelding, Sundance, who contracted internal Pigeon’s Disease. Internal Pigeon’s Disease is rare, horrible and often fatal.
It is thought Sundance acquired Pigeon fever after a prior illness for which he had recovered. Suddenly, Sundance grew a severe staph infection, the pigeon fever went internal and the abscesses grew out of control – crowding his internal organs.
Imagine the horror and helplessness for his owner…
Rigorous 24/7 treatment looked to be helping but then suddenly, Sundance succumbed to colic this month – much to the devastation and shock of his owner who had done everything possible for her beloved gelding.
He was 26 years old.
His owner is beyond heartbroken.
Tracy wants to help her friend in her grief by softening Sundance’s medical expenses.
