Oy. This kind of thing makes my blood boil.
Really…? There was no time sooner that this owner could have recognized that they needed help with this 16 year-old registered Anglo Arab gelding? Really?!
MEET MIGIDDO
Migiddo was surrendered, finally. FINALLY.
It took an outsider to make the owner surrender this horse to Horse Feathers Equine Rescue. The owner said that this horse was ‘sick and had cancer’…
Uh huh.
And now HFER (after medical testing showed Migiddo didn’t have cancer) has the task of trying to bring him back from the absolute brink. Migiddo is in really bad shape. His bloodwork was all over the place. The DR is coming back out in a few days to retest him. His eyes are dull, his responses slow…
But, he’s getting better – they think! After being at the rescue for 10 days, they feel that he might pull through – his organs may not be terminally damaged.
For sure he is eager to E-A-T! And, there is finally a spark of life in his eyes!
THIS HORSE NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION, GROCERIES AND PRAYERS.
Can we help Horse Feathers Equine Rescue help this poor horse? Any leftover 4th of July money in the piggybank? Every little donations adds up!
This will take a long time and much attention to every little detail.
Thank you, thank you! MG thanks you!

Cheri says he’s starting to come around… He has light in his eyes now and hobblyruns to her when she serves his meals! He is trying to survive! Can we help MG?

Cheri, at Horse Feathers Equine Rescue, is one of Oklahoma’s greatest treasures and the best friend any equine could ask for, so Migiddo is exactly where he needs to be to survive and thrive.
such a tragedy. I will hope and pray that he recovers. Sending prayers and words of hope to this lovely fellow. Thank you for taking care of him. He now knows kindness and has food in his belly. He deserves a chance.
Thank you so much for including him and all of those who follow him for your support.
