OCTOBER BUCKET FUND RECEIPT AND AN UPDATE ON ONE-EYED MINI STALLION (no longer…), ZIGGY!

Last month, we collected for the mini horses (mares, pregnant mares, babies and one stallion) who were trapped in a burr filled paddock.  All had eye injuries, ulcers, torn eyelids and Ziggy’s eye was so badly damaged, it could not be treated.  He had to have it removed.

*Many of you asked what was up with this… why did they all have eye injuries.  The best thought is that they are exactly the right height for burrs in the eyes.  And, the burrs were stuck in their forelock and leg hairs.  So, when the minis would scratch their faces and embed burrs into their eyes.  Ouch.

ZIGGY HAS HIS SURGERY!

THANK YOU ALL for your prayers, thoughts and donations!

Luckily, we were able to fund Ziggy’s two surgeries!  On November 4th, Ziggy was gelded and his eye was removed, cleaned and sutured up – never to be irritated or painful again!

Yay!!  Win-Win.

Thank you all!!.
