I always wonder how an owner who has loved (?), trained and ridden horses for many years, could then watch those same horses starve to death.
Right out the back window. Starving. And the even worse part… they were surrounded by greenery that they couldn’t reach.
The horses were seized on Sunday and turned over to Sound Equine Options (FB) . Clyde is just over a 1 on the Henneke Scale. Bonnie is slightly better.
Can we help them? Maybe that Holiday Latte money? Every drop adds up!

THEIR STORY
Bonnie and Clyde lived on the end of a long country road in a muddy pasture where they were easily missed.
A workman who was new to the area, happened to spot the two horses and IMMEDIATELY turned the owner into the County.
All we know is that these are 20 year-old paint horses that lived together most all of their lives with this owner. They are extremely polite, trained and friendly – .
They are on the UC David refeeding protocol now and need everything: digestible food, supplements, trims, teeth done and blankets because it is snowing and they have no meat on their bones.
Can you imagine being a totally trained horse and then your owners quit feeding you?
Wow.

They are at a rescue being loved and aided. The previous owners will be prosecuted. The County is very strict, thank goodness.
I am totally STUNNED & appalled at what people do EVERYDAY to their ”loved” animals….the mentality is something I cannot wrap my head around. Right outside your door they starve???
Maybe I missed it, where were the horses living & where are they now?
