Well, it is that time again… we are getting down to the end of the month and we haven’t reached our Bucket Fund goal for Sonata. She is doing much better and her caretakers are washing that wound 3x a day, feeding her great food, looking after her feet and teeth… and best of all, loving her.
Since Sonata is so deserving, I asked Metro the Painting OTTB’s owner if Metro would mind donating something for a fellow OTTB… He said, Sure! I’ll even give you 2 of his new coloring book and have him SIGN them!
METRO’S NEW COLORING BOOK!
When I first saw the Coloring with Metro coloring books, I burst out laughing with delight! They are not at all what you would normally think of a coloring book. Here is what Metro’s human said:
The pages are so much fun! At first it looks like a mistake… but then you realize that Metro’s owner drew the initial background images and then Metro added his own handiwork. Quite impressive!
GET YOUR OWN AND HELP THE BUCKET FUND – the entire amount will go directly to Sonata!
So, we now have 2 fabulous signed COLORING WITH METRO coloring books!
If you’d like to purchase a signed Coloring with Metro coloring book for $35 (entire amount will go towards the June Bucket Fund (Sonata), click here!
If you missed out, you can get an unsigned Coloring with Metro coloring book on Amazon (Please use Amazon Smile for Horse and Man – link in sidebar or at the bottom of this post – Thank you!)
Thank you!!
ANOTHER DIAMOND RING…
I am offering another of my diamond lovelies. I’ll use the proceeds to top off the Bucket Fund and to pay for Slick’s (gulp) ICU fees.
I purchased this ring for myself ($2999) before I was married. I liked it and thought I should have a ring on that finger on certain occasions. So, this subtle but very pretty (elegant) ring was right up my alley. It has bright, square diamonds on the top, and both sides, which I liked. And, it has very intricate scrolling. A nice touch, I thought!
But, now I never wear it because Hubby likes me to wear the ring he gave me…
So, I thought I may as well sell it to fund the remainder of the BF and to help with Slick’s medical bills.
I just had it appraised/cleaned. Here is what the appraiser had to say (Mark Geller, LAURA M, (310) 663-4747):
One (1) channel- set platinum ring (PT .900 approximately 5.5 grams) manufactured by Simon G. (stamped engraving inside band). The band contains 12 princess cut white diamonds on the top of the ring and 11 white round diamonds on each side of the ring, total 22.
Princess diamonds are approximately 7.5 points each, total weight .90 and round diamonds 22 @ 1 point each 22 points total.
Total diamond weight of this ring is approximately 1.12+ carats. All diamonds are H/I color and VS/SI1 quality.
**Note: This ring is currently size 5 1/8. However, it can be safely sized (up to approximately size 8) and reengraved by any quality jeweler, as the diamonds are at the top of the ring.
If anyone would like to purchase my ring for $1500, click here! (Sonata, SlickAngel and I thank you!)
June Bucket Fund: Sonata still needs her teeth done! If we can fill the Bucket, she gets it all! And she is so deserving after being dropped off at a feedlot with the gigantic hole in her shoulder! Click here to read her story. Click here to donate!

I AM SO SORRY that you are having this difficulty! We are unable to duplicate it on our end. So frustrating. It
all works here. I wish I could fix it – I really do. Here is the link: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=UYMJKFFNR8LCL
Good morning, Dawn
After many attempts including today, I have not been able to make a donation from your page’s “donation” links, even from the original post. Last month I donated directly to the rescue because of the same issue. I have used PayPal several times over the same period of time for transactions with other businesses without a hitch and PayPal stated it was not a malfunction on their part. This is the PayPal message I received for each attempt:
“If you came to this page from another website, please return to that site (don’t use your browser’s Back button) and restart your activity.”
Other followers may be having the same frustrating experience and hope you can offer the solution.
I look forward to your posts every morning. Thank you!
