Today we have a newsy day!
First off, we had another great fund raising month for orphaned babies! Pregnant mares and babies always get me…
Anyway, you all were wonderful, sending love and light from all over the world!
Here are our Bucket Fund Receipts for March!
ALL ABOUT EQUINE ANIMAL RESCUE
Our Emergency End of the Month Bucket Fund created for the 3 orphaned foals found by the rancher (next to their deceased mothers). We raised the funds in less than 24 hours so that the Rescuers from All About Equine could swoop in and grab these babies.
Here is an email we received from All About Equine Animal Rescue today:
Everyone here sure appreciates your help with this!!…..and the heart of the Horse and Man group!!
These lil guys are doing well….I’ll send a lil video of them running around today, if I can get it uploaded. One (your big girl) nearly ran straight into me…funny thing was, i was focused on the camera and didn’t realize it. If I’d have tried to move, we prob’ly would have collided.
I think she likes to play chicken…..she and the tiny filly collided yesterday as they tried to avoid each other. They’re ok, but it was super scary to see!
LAST CHANCE CORRAL!
This receipt is for our Original March Bucket Fund, the NurseMare Foals from Last Chance Corral!

BG IS BEING EATEN (already, sigh) BY NO SEE’UMS!
As I am readying BG to be my riding horse this season, I noticed that she rubbed the top of her tail, ALREADY, due to biting, itching flying, nasty things that really bother her.
I’ve tried the fly net blankets… but she does much better with EquiSpa’s NOT SO SWEET ITCH gel. (no affiliation)
I use the gel because it sets up easier for when I need to do her underbelly.
Anyway, she loves the smell and doesn’t mind me putting it all over her body… it lasts and she has no bugs. I tend to use it every other day at evening feeding, just before the bugs get going.
I just thought I’d remind you, in case your horse suffers, too. The EquiSpa products are natural and I’ve never had my horse balk at any of them. They want to eat the stuff!
Go here to get natural but potent fly spray (Peppermint Summer Protection Spray), the Not So Sweet Itch and all the other products I love (The Balm!, Fairy Tales, Udder Cleaner…).
