JULY BUCKET FUND RECEIPT and updates on Betsy Rose and Storm!

Well, you did great for Betsy Rose!!

All of your prayers, thoughts and donations have aided this girl who was as close to death as possible…

(You can read her story here.)

Today, she can stand on her own, walk a little and she is gaining every day!  Looking at her intake photos, I doubt many of us thought she would make it.

Thank goodness for BHFER who gave total devotion and vigilant attention to this little, finally lucky, little mare.

WHAT A TRANSFORMATION!

To this!…

Betsy Rose has been living in a sling for a month and is only now beginning to be able to walk without stumbling.  But, such an improvement!

Sometimes love does tip the scales in our favor… THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HELPED THIS SWEET MARE!

AN UPDATE ON STORM

Storm was our May Bucket Fund recipient.

She had a horrible wither infection that could not be cured without surgery.

You can read her story here

And today, she is almost recovered from her surgery and her infection!  Unbelievable!  Most vets gave her a very slim chance.  But, UC DAVIS came through and saved this girl with your help.

Storm still loves her girls… she loves the little girls!

After months of twice daily cleaning, the wound would not heal due to the deep infection.

Only one comment so far...

Both girls are looking fabulous, thanks in part to the kind hearts and fundraising efforts of Horse and Man and its readership. I have no doubt that Tess will also be on her way to restored good health in no time!
