First off, I wanted to show you the check we received from The Riding Warehouse – this is the biggest check we have EVER received!
So, a big THANK YOU to those who purchased by entering through the link at the bottom of each post. I don’t know who you are, but you do!

The February check we received from you readers entering The Riding Warehouse website via the link at the bottom of each post as well as the sidebar. Wonderful, thank you!
XENA THE FIGHTER! – Her stories.
XENA was our Bucket Fund Recipient mare for the 2nd half of January. She was attacked by something and left to die inside the fences of a power station. You can read her story here.
There was a second story about Xena… this one outlines the new betting game that we feel Xena fell prey. You can read about that horrific betting game here.
Who could forget these photos…

This was the least graphic photo of them all… After she was found, her rescuer walked her down the hill and into an awaiting trailer.

These are also the least graphic of the pre-surgery photos. They believe Xena was the victim of a new ‘betting game’ that involves a pack of dogs and a lone horse. Sick. You can read about it on the link provided above.
XENA TODAY!
This is Xena from her FB page today, after 7 weeks! Amazing!
She got a bath and from this angle, she looks almost perfect!
MORE GREAT NEWS!
And, in case you might have missed it, Xena’s rescuer decided she couldn’t part with her so Xena was formally adopted! And even more interesting, her rescuer doesn’t have any other horses! Xena was rescued by a Good Sam who fell in love.
Xena will get to stay in the daily care of the woman who runs the private stable and has cared for Xena daily.
Of course, the incredible volunteer veterinarian needs high praise as well.
The Horse and Man Group donation went very far here. Thank you all!!

March Bucket Fund! The Rhodes Road Bachelor Band was rounded! Here is a pic of when they were free! Healthy and Gorgeous. The townspeople are trying to get them back, set up housing and gentling. Click here to read about their capture and isolation.
